11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join our rangers for a place-based public history program that brings the early 19th century Georgia frontier to life-right where it happened. Through material culture, storytelling, and primary sources, visitors explore daily life, land hunger, and conflict in the 1820s–1830s. The program invites visitors to see how national policies played out locally and how the frontier still shapes the landscapes and communities around us today. This is an informal, stationary program and walk-ups are welcome!

A $5 daily parking pass or annual pass is required at all Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area park units. You can purchase a day pass at the trailhead or online: https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm

If you have any questions please email: chat_interpretation@nps.gov
