🎣 Reel Fun at Island Ford: Learn to Fish!

Join the National Park Service fand CNPC or a morning of fin-tastic fishing fun at Island Ford Pond. Whether you’re a total newbie or just need to brush up on your casting, we’ll help you tackle the basics of gear, technique, and freshwater fishing in Georgia. You’ll get to cast your line, learn about native fish species, and discover how to be a reel-ly responsible angler.
Location: Island Ford Pond at Island Ford
8800 Roberts Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30350
Enter at 8800 Roberts Drive. Head to the second parking lot and cross the road to the pond, or park at the Visitor Center and enjoy a short ~5-minute walk down a scenic forest trail.
Facilities: Restroom and water fountain at the Hewlett Lodge Visitor Center
Difficulty: Easy
Bring: Water, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
