Join the National Park Service for a fun, one day workshop using nature, wildlife, and the forest as catalysts for interdisciplinary curriculum enhancement. Participants will earn a Project WET & Project Learning Tree Certification. Project WET and Project Learning Tree are teacher-tested, nationally recognized teacher training programs for environmental education that include ready-to-use curriculum activity guides.
Location: This workshop will take place at CREEC - Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center: 8615 Barnwell Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30022
Cost: Workshop is FREE with a $25.00 deposit for materials. Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy is sponsoring course materials. The $25 deposit will be returned to attendees after the completion of the workshop.
What to bring:
- refillable water bottle and maybe high energy snacks.
- Dress for outdoor activities and dress in layers to allow for changes in temperature and physical activity.
- Bring a rain jacket.
- Please bring your lunch.
What to wear: Friday - Comfortable hiking clothes with close toed shoes.
