9:00 AM to 12-1 PM ( ending time for river cleanup volunteers varies on river flow )

Powers Island Unit, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area

Get ready for an adventurous paddle + land based cleanup cleanup along the Chattahoochee River with YOUR Ferrovial team ! We'll at meet at the NOC Powers Island Unit Outpost located within the park. River cleanup participants must arrive at Powers Island no later than 9:00 AM. We will float for a few miles and paddle along the riverbanks picking up debris. Our time on the river can vary on how fast the river flow is on the day. Please prepare for a 3-4 hour experience on the river. This is a beginner friendly experience and our outfitters at NOC will assist to ensure all participants are comfortable. The float will conclude at Azalea Park and all attendees will be shuttled back to the launch location. 

For land based volunteers, we will all meet at the NOC outpost no later than 9 AM. Bathrooms and water fountains are available at this unit. We will have a quick intro/safety briefing and then get to work!

What We’ll Provide:

• Trash bags
• Gloves
• Litter grabbers (limited supply)

What to Bring / Wear:

• Closed-toe shoes (required)
• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Refillable water bottle
• Bug spray and sunscreen

A $5 daily parking pass or annual pass is required at all Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area park units. You can purchase a day pass at the trailhead or online: https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm
