Mother's Day Paddle

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a peaceful and memorable 1.5 mile paddle along one of the Chattahoochee’s most beautiful stretches from Azalea Park to Don White Memorial Park. In partnership with the Nantahala Outdoor Center, this guided paddle offers a relaxed, family‑friendly experience perfect for moms who love nature, adventure, and time together on the water. 

Participants will enjoy gentle currents, spring blooms, and opportunities to spot wildlife as they float through this scenic corridor. NOC’s expert river guides will provide support and interpretation along the way, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching experience for paddlers of all skill levels. Join us for a memorable family friendly event that blends tranquility, connection, and the natural beauty of the Chattahoochee, an unforgettable way to honor the moms who inspire us.

Important Note

All participants should plan to be at the take‑out location (Don White Memorial Park) by 10:00 AM to sign the volunteer waiver and board the shuttle to the launch point.

What's Included:

• Kayak or ducky (inflatable kayak)
• Paddle & life jacket
• Expert NOC guides leading the way
• Safety instruction + fun river interpretation along the route

Age Requirement: Participants must be 9 years or older to join the paddle program.

Good to Know:

This paddle runs rain or shine, but we’ll cancel if:

• River flows exceed 5,000 CFS
• E. coli levels are high
• There is lightning in the area
