Join National Park Service Rangers and volunteer staff for an evening focusing on the skies above. We will be looking at the moon, stars, and a planet or two. Therefore, you are invited to bring your own telescope or binoculars and maybe a blanket or lawn chair. The National Park service will offer telescope/binocular viewing during several ticketed timeslots. There will be discussions on the night sky, make & take crafts, and Cherokee star legend. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program you are invited to join us on a short walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail. After the walk, you are invited to roast marshmallows or just enjoy the campfire.
Facilities: Located in the Center’s Lodge.
Difficulty: Easy level walking.
Bring:
- Dress for the weather
- Comfortable shoes for thike
- Water and snacks if you'd like
- Marshmallows to roast!
This is a BYOM event - bring your own marshmallows! NPS can provide roasting forks for your use.
