Join us for a relaxed morning on the trail with good company, local history, and a well-earned breakfast! CNPC members are invited to a guided group hike at Sope Creek, led by CNPC staff alongside our National Park Service partners. We’ll make our way to the iconic Paper Mill Ruins, pausing along the trail to enjoy the scenery, share stories, and connect with fellow park lovers.

This is a casual, conversational outing designed to slow down, learn a bit about the park, and spend meaningful time with the people who help make this place so special.

Whether you’re a longtime member or newly joined, this is a chance to experience the park in a deeper way and get to know the faces behind CNPC and NPS. See you there!

Hike Details

• Difficulty: Easy to moderate
• Distance: ~2 miles roundtrip
• Terrain: Natural surface trails with some roots and uneven sections
• Pace: Leisurely, with stops for conversation and interpretation. One moderate uphill climb from the creek.
• Note: There are no restroom facilities at this location.
