Pollinator garden volunteer Workday

Monday, August 12th

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for our monthly gathering bringing together gardeners, pollinator lovers, and all-around outdoorsy folks to spruce up our pollinator garden! In partnership with Birds Georgia, we will remove invasive plants and help make the space welcoming for the friendly wildlife at the Island Ford unit of CRNRA.

Registration is required to attend and is limited to 15 volunteers.

Location: Outside the Visitor Center of the Island Ford unit of CRNRA (8800 Roberts Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30350). There are parking spots available just outside the garden area, near the Visitor Center. CRNRA requires a $5 daily parking fee or the purchase of a $40 annual pass.

Heat warning: As summer temperatures soar and heat incidents increase across the park, CNPC urges attendees to stay safe by being well-prepared for high temperatures. Please bring plenty of water (often more than you think you'll need!), list a reliable emergency contact, and know your limits. Be aware of the serious signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, including heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, and confusion. Events may be canceled if temperatures become too extreme. Your safety is our priority.
