July Community Cleanup
Saturday, July 13th
9:00 - 11:00 AM
Description: Join us for a community cleanup event at Vickery Creek! The trails along the creek need our attention to remove debris, remove invasive plants, and preserve the area's cleanliness. By participating, we play a vital role in keeping the paths clear and the creek and river free from pollution - we hope you will join us to help keep our park pristine!
Facilities: No restrooms.
Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for forest trail walking, considering layers for temperature changes. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended for pulling invasive plants. Remember to bring water and snacks. We will provide all the tools for clean-up.
Restrictions: Please, no children under 10 and no dogs.
Limit: 30 persons
Heat warning: As summer temperatures soar and heat incidents increase across the park, CNPC urges attendees to stay safe by being well-prepared for high temperatures. Please bring plenty of water (often more than you think you'll need!), list a reliable emergency contact, and know your limits. Be aware of the serious signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, including heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, and confusion. Events may be canceled if temperatures become too extreme. Your safety is our priority.
