June Community Hike

Description: Join us as we explore the CRNRA Gold Branch Unit. Our 5-mile path will take us along Bull Sluice Lake's perimeter, up and down the ridges, and past dog hobble thickets. Prepare to be enchanted as we immerse ourselves in the wonders of this picturesque hike, where every step reveals a new and awe-inspiring facet of the natural world, including blue herons, osprey, and many other exciting bird species.
Facilities: No Restrooms
Difficulty: 5-mile, moderate to strenuous hike; hiking poles are recommended
Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for forest trail walking, considering layers for temperature changes. Remember to bring water and snacks, and pack binoculars and a hand lens for a more immersive experience. Sunscreen and bug spray are also encouraged.
Restrictions: No Children under 10 and No Dogs
Note: A daily entrance fee of $5 or an annual pass is required.
