Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center
Description: Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for an indoor program on the beloved and very successful turtle. The turtle has been around for millions of years of changes on our planet, but its success might be running out. Enjoy this fascinating program as the day ends and sunset approaches.
Although we will still have the campfire from 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm, we are moving the program indoors because of the very cold weather. This also requires that we hold registration to 40 persons. Discover new facts about the wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area with an exciting program on turtles of the Chattahoochee River Corridor and beyond.
You are invited to bring your own marshmallows if you like to roast marshmallows over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Join us and enjoy the ambiance, and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee.
