Birds in the Park with Atlanta Audubon Society
Jun 2, 8-11 AM

SAVE THE DATE: Registration opens May 12!

Spring migration will have all but ended, so we will focus on birds that regularly nest in or near Cochran Shoals. Birds will be identified by both sight and sound. The easy, flat walk is 3 ½ miles on the gravel loop trial, passing woodlands, the river, brushy areas, and wetlands. The leisurely pace encourages questions. Ages 10 and up. No dogs, please. Limit: 20

GuidesRoseanne Guerra is an Atlanta Audubon Master Birder and works as an environmental educator, bird walk/field trip leader, and canoe guide for various Atlanta-area organizations. Chris Lambrecht has been birding for forty years. He has seen more than 800 species of birds; over 550 species were sighted in the lower 48 states. Both leaders regularly lead walks for the Atlanta Audubon Society. (www.atlantaaudubon.org)
