Saturday, July 20th

Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower and the volunteer staff for an opportunity to explore nature journaling! Nature journaling is a gateway to improving your observational skills, your enjoyment outdoors, and creates a wonderful record of your adventures in nature. Discover that poetry, recording, and sketching can be important components of nature journaling. We will offer outdoor exercises in observation and recording in your journal that will improve your abilities and your journaling skills. Join us to expand your abilities and just have fun recording your time in nature!

Be aware of the serious signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, including heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, and confusion. Events may be canceled if temperatures become too extreme. Your safety is our priority.

This event will take place rain or shine, however it will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather including thunderstorms or flood warnings. Participants will be notified by email the morning of the event (or sooner) should an event need to be rescheduled due to weather.
