Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center Program, Campfire, and Sunset Stroll

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a campfire, program on the covered upper deck, sunset stroll, and a beautiful spring evening concluding another day on the Chattahoochee. Discover new facts about wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and the state of Georgia. Enjoy the campfire and the twilight. The activities are very casual and informal. You are invited to bring your own marshmallows if you like to roast marshmallows over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Join us and enjoy the ambiance, and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program you are invited to join us on a short twilight walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail.

Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.

Facilities: Located in the Center’s Lodge

Difficulty: Easy level walking

Bring: Please remember to wear comfortable outdoor clothes. Spring evenings can be quite chilly, you might want a jacket. Water and high energy snacks are a good idea. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic. You are also welcome to bring your own marshmallows to roast. We have roasting forks that you may use.
