Description: Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a campfire, program on the covered upper deck, sunset stroll, and a beautiful start of summer with an end of day on the Chattahoochee. Discover new facts about wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and the state of Georgia. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Naturalist Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire and the twilight as we usher in Earth Week. The activities are very casual and informal. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. We will conclude with a sunset walk on the Three Forks Creek Loop Trail.

Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.
Facilities: Located in the Center’s Lodge
Difficulty: Easy level walking
Bring: Please remember to wear comfortable outdoor clothes. Spring evenings can be quite chilly, you might want a jacket. Water and high energy snacks are a good idea. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic.
You are also welcome to bring your own marshmallows to roast. We have roasting forks that you may use.
